Task 1 – Please Watch this video and answer the questions below.
This video was filmed at the Emile Montessori School in Fukuoka, Japan. The voice-over is in Japanese so unless you speak Japanese you will not understand the audio. The reason it is included here is that it provides many lovely images of young children in the process of developing and mastering equilibrium/gross motor skills and a range of fine-motor skills. Some of the scenes have been shot in a darker mode than I would have liked, but it provides good examples of a wide range of movements. The camera operator has shown sensitivity and skill in the way he has captured movement.
